Tearful William Lee Farley (right), 15, relates to state trooper Frank Rote how his mother, Mrs. Lucy Gross, 42, died after five shots were fired through a kitchen window of their rural home near here. Ogemaw County Prosecutor, Melvin G. Orr, said the youth signed a statement admitting the slaying.
