Tom Sharkey Weightlifter in West Pageant Treasure Island... Old Tom Sharkey the original, veteran of the squared circle of early day fisticuffs, appears in the Cavalcade of the West showing at the Golden Gate International Exposition, appearing as an old-time weightlifter.. At the end of his scene Sharkey tucks his "600 pound" dumbbells under his arm and springs off the stage with an agility belying his 66 years.
