Tells of Burning Records--John D. Swenson, right, of Bossier City, La., testifies today before the House Un-American Activities Committee at a reopening of Ku Klux Klan hearings. James R. Venable, who identified himself as an Atlanta attorney , is at left. Swenson testified that he burned records and documents so they wouldn’t fall into the hands of the enemy. Swenson was identified by a committee investigator as grand dragon of the old, original Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.
