Strikes were in evidence in various parts of America. Like this one, at the Kennecott copper plant, at Magna, Utah, where signs were posted to announce the decision of Local 1845, United Steelworkers of America. Trucks attempting to enter were either redirected or asked to honor the silent picket line. It has been going on for two months, and workers were even beginning to hope for the end, for the holidays are coming and young children would not understand.
