To Fly as Sea birds Soar--Maybe.- St. Agustine, Fla.--George R. White, of Stony Brook, L.I., former army aviator, who for six years had devoted himself to mechanically approximating the flight of birds, recently completed. the assembling of his motorless ornithopter, in which he will attempt the first birdlike flight, at St. Augustine, Fla.- The Ornithopter will carry a gross weight inclusive of the inventor of 278 pounds and once in the air, a beating of wings by feet in a seventeen foot arc at the rate of eighty per minutes, should sustain flight, according to the inventor.
