Taxicabs at a Standstill. Brooklyn: N.Y.- A general strike of taxicab drivers in the city made this scene possible at the Parmelee Garage, 195 Albee Square, here tonight. Approximately 7,000 cabs were idle after the drivers were called out by the Transport Workers Union: C.I.O. affiliate, in support of demands for a larger share of receipts.

Botulism, the deadliest form of food poisoning known, has a resistance that [illegible] major road block to perfection of a process for preserving foods [illegible] radiation. The tough bacteria can also survive large doses of heat, drying, and chemical germicides.
