Walnut, Calif., Aug. 14 - An ambulance attendant gives Mrs. Katherine Gannon Harwell a transfusion as she is rushed to a hospital early today in serious condition from burns suffered when she was coated with tar and feathers and left in a burning house near Walnut, Calif. She said three men tied her up, threw her in a closet, and ignited the house. She managed to drag herself outside before firemen arrived.
