Three teams of Methodist Hospital surgeons 9/18 transplanted a heart into Dusan J. Vlaco, 16, of Elemir, Yugoslavia (Left) and a kidney into Troy C. Stewart, (R), 23, of Pasadena, Texas. It was the second such multiple transplant for surgeons led by Dr. Michael DeBakey. The Heart transplant marked Houston's 14th and the world's 48th. Both organs came from a single donor.
