Take Tests For ERB Jobs. New York. -- Large police details were assigned to examination places today as more than 3,000 emergency relief bureau employees and 7,000 outsiders applying for their jobs, took competitive tests. Employees were denied an injunction to restrain the Civil Service Commission from holding today's tests, and there was talk of possible strikes as a result of failure of their court action. The ERB is being taken over by the City Department of Public Welfare in July.
