Amsterdam, N.Y... State police are pressing their search for "a black-hooded man" in a widening hunt for the sex killer who raped and slew pretty Jeanne Lorraine Stone, 17, and shot to death her 18-year old boy friend, William A. Waterman, on a secluded lover's lane yesterday morning. Various couples in the area have reported to police having been approached by a mysterious man while parked in their cars, and one Schenectady couple told police that a stranger, carrying a rifle, forced an unidentified man from his car and attacked his woman companion. Jeanne Stone (photo at left) is shown as she appeared at the beach with her brother, Earl C. Stone, Jr., last july. In photo at right, Jeanne's father and brother are shown at their Amsterdam home today, sadly looking at pictures of the slain girl in a family photo album. The slain girl's mother collapsed on learning of the slaying, and was taken to the Amsterdam hospital suffering shock.
