Three Ku Klux Klan officials pleaded guilty 11/18 to charges of contempt of Congress for their refusal to produce records for the House Committee on Un-American Activities. The three who entered the plea before U.S. District Judge Edward M. Curran were Robert E. Scoggin (L) of Spartanburg, S.C.; James R. Jones (C) of Granite Quarry, N.C., and Calvin F. Craig (R) of Atlanta, Ga. (all are shown in recent file photos). Each is Grand Dragon in his respective state.
