Steven Truscott, 21, arrives at Supreme Court of Canada 10/7th to testify in his own defence. Truscott was only 14 when he was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death for the rape-murder of 12-year-old Lynne Harper of Clinton, Ont., in June 1959. His trial was subsequently commuted to life imprisonment at Kingston Penitentiary. Isabel Lebourdais sensational book "The Trial of Steven Truscott" sparked the liberal Cabinet to order a new hearing into the case.
