Swimsuits weighing hardly more than a good-sized letter will be on America's beaches this summer. Here model Verna Cornelius, who's wearing a four-ounce all-synthetic suit designed by Rose Marie Reid, mails off a duplicate suit to he sister in the east -- using an air mail envelope to carry it! Jan Currey (left) and Gretchen Foster wear other models of the feather-light beach wear. The suits are of synthetics called Lycra and Vyrene Spandex and so filmy they're transparent when off the body.
