The prints with Central Park backgrounds are among the most stylish and light-hearted of Bellows' lithographs. In this small print, the richly dressed young women chat, walk a dog, and manage to remain completely oblivious to admiring stares. The play of light and shadow and the atmosphere of the park are carefully delineated. (Mason)
