Spreckels to pay ex-wife $33,900

Los Angeles, Calif.: Roxana Gloria Spreckels will be money ahead, if she remarries within six years, under a new property settlement with her divorced husband, John Detrick Spreckels, heir of the sugar family, approved by Superior Judge Leslie E. Still. The agreement calls for payment of $ 33,900 in a lump sum. In turn, Mrs. Spreckels agrees to forfeit all claim of alimony, which she is receiving at the rate of $500 a month until she marries again. (Above) John D.
