A Shot in the Arm -- Little two-year-old Galen Tarrence, his eyes misty, lets out a childish wail as Dr. W. Clark Giles gives him a shot of typhoid vaccine at an emergency station set up in a grocery store here today. Trying to comfort the tot is Mrs. Wayne Warrior, a volunteer flood worker. Inoculations were being given at three centers in Council Bluffs as the city prepared for possible inundation by the rampaging Missouri River.
