She forgives--but judge doesn't agree

New York.....Mrs. Catherine Grundy, selected as "Miss New York State" to compete in the "Miss Universe" contest, under the name of Kay Douglas, is shown holding hands with her husband, Douglas Grundy when she had locked up on assault charges early today---and then repented and asked that the charges be dropped. Grundy appeared in felony court where magistrate Bloch refused to dismiss the charges but reduced it to third degree assault and paroled Grundy for trial later. The domestic difficulties of the 18-year-old red-haired beauty brought out the fact that she is married and the mother of a 10-month-old son--a bit of a surprise to the contest officials who picked her as "Miss New York State".
