Shaw Voted Top Athlete at Tufts Fete Phil Shaw Phil Shaw was named Tuft's "Athlete of the Year" at the University's second annual All-Sports Banquet at Jackson Gymnasium last night. A Medford resident, Shaw became the recipient of the Clarence "Pop" Houston Trophy. The award was named for Tuft's former director of athletics who served two terms as president of the N.C.A.A.
