Unknown to each other. 2 girls vanish in like fashion. By Maureen N. Connolly. The past days have been agonizingly long for the families of two young teenage girls who although hundreds of miles apart, are sharing the same fears and anguish. Both have young daughters who mysteriously disappeared recently. The families of 14-year-old Sharon Spera of Westwood, and 13-year-old Kimberly Ann Dickerman of Bennington, N. H., do not know each other, but both are going through the same ordeal. Kimberly disappeared three weeks ago after shopping with her mother, Mrs. Priscilla Dickerman in Peterboro, N.H. Kimberly said she was going for a walk. Sharon dropped from sight after getting off a school bus only 100 yards from her home last Thursday. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Remo Spera, 151 Providence hgwy., Westwood, O. believe the slim, dark-haired seventh grader ran away from home. Her brother, Raymond, 13, was the last to see Sharon. They got off the school bus together and when he turned around, she was gone. A photograph of Sharon Spera in area newspapers brought a phone call from a youth whom a youth believed he had seen her. The Speras and Westwood police checked the report, but the girl was not Sharon. Kimberly's description was also widely distributed, and she was reported seen hitchhiking toward Boston. Her father, C. Charles Dickerman, lives in Cambridge, but he too has not heard from the young girl. Mrs. Spera, mother of five, says she waits by the telephone to ring, and hasn't slept in days worrying about her daughter. She hopes Sharon may return soon, for her sister, Paula Jean, will celebrate her first birthday next week, and the family had planned a large gathering. Sharon is described as five foot 2 inches, about 97 pounds with short dark hair. Kimberly is five foot 1 inch and about 105 pounds with long, blonde hair.
