Sets New Weight Record--James Scholtz, a West Point upper classman from Schenectady, N.Y., winds up to throw the 35-pound weight in the IC-4A weight event held this afternoon at the Squadron A Armory here. Scholtz, a 220-pounder, bettered the world and U.S. indoor record for the 35-pound weight during today's competition with a throw of 60 feet, seven and 3/4 inches. The previous record was made by Niles Perkins of Bowdoin in 1940 with a throw of 58 feet, seven and one-half inches.
