Edward F. Dow, 13, who was sentenced to 14 to 20 years in state prison today (June 29) at Newburyport, Mass., for the hammer slaying of a 72-year-old spinster last April, is shown with a guard. Dow, the youngest person ever tried for murder in Massachusetts, was convicted last week of the lesser crime of manslaughter.
