Seek Buried Treasure in Heart of Los Angeles. Rex Irving McCreery, an attorney, has obtained permission of the Los Angeles, Calif., County board of supervisors to dig for buried treasure on historic Fort Moore Hill over the Broadway tunnel in Los Angeles. McCreery (left), is pictured with G. Warren Shufelt, Geophysical Engineer, at the spot where digging will begin on Feb. 27. Shufelt is operating his electrical radio gold finding machine, which, he says, has located five places on the Fort Moore property where gold is believed buried.
