Secretary is hot rod artist

A secretary by day, 19-year-old Joanie Cornelius is fashioning her own custom sports car during her off hours. Joanie, who works for a castings manufacturer, took a dare from a garage operator three months ago and started work on the hot rod. Her hybrid auto has a 1940 Nash body, a 1937 Chevrolet frame and a 1940 Oldsmobile rear end. It will be powered by an Oldsmobile 88 engine with automatic drive. When Joanie isn't pounding a typewriter or twisting a wrench, she's caring for her ill parents or singing in a choir.
