Resigned Under Pressure--Sudan's President Ibrahim Abboud bowed to pressure from the civilian cabinet and resigned today as president and commander in chief of the armed forces. The 60-year-old general gave up most of his power last month after 10 days of violent street demonstrations With Abboud's resignation, all power now rests with the cabinet.
