Queens Staircase, Nassau, Bahamas

The Queens Staircase with 66 treads cut in the solid rock, said to be the work of slaves, leads to the back of Fort Fincastle. Possibly the fort was built of stone quarried from this spot. Most of the older houses in Nassau were built of this lime stone.
