Al Schacht of the Red Sox, who whistles, does right by hurlers and reads poetry, remembers the line that goes, "In all climes we pitch our tents, cronies of the elements," and since the Red Sox are starting their pennant clime (cut it out, Al) and because the elements were unfavorable at Sarasota, he thought it might be appropriate to herd together these Sox pitching cronies and go out somewhere to pitch a tent, a good big tent, because the boys have to develop their arms. All these twirlers are rookies, but Al says they don't expect to "fold their tents like the Arabs and as silently steal away." Left to right-Bud Buetter, Alex Mustaikis, Schacht, Lee Rogers (behind him), Walter Ripley, Trainer Roland Logan and Stew Bowers.
