At the bottom of the water, the three Daughters of the Rhine play around the rock that carries the magic treasure. The one above, in the background, soaks up the rays. Another, on the right, is dressed and seen from behind and pulls herself back by unfolding seaweed garlands. The third daughter is naked and dives horizontally and announces to the dwarf Alberich the price for the Gold Rhine. Nibelung dwarf Alberich is seen half-length and from behind.
