Deanna Chu, 23-year-old Chinese refugee, is embraced by her father, W.H. Chu, 51, on arriving in New York today from Hong Kong. The young woman is the first Chinese refugee to be admitted to the New York area under the presidential refugee emergency program. Her father, who lives in New York, fled with his brood from Shanghai to Hong Kong in 1949. He came to the United States in 1958, Deanna's mother, Chia-Jui, 50, is in Hong Kong.
