Reed L. Gibson, 27, for 6-years a Sacramento fireman, faces dismissal from his job because his long brown hair, mustache and sideburns present a fire hazard. Gibson, who has refused several requests to trim his hair, said he has been suspended for 30-days for "insubordination and willfull disobedience." Officials said Gibson put himself and his fellow firemen in danger by presenting a potentially dangerous personal brush fire condition by his appearance.
