Says ex-Dodger Casey dad of her baby

A bench warrant was issued today for Hugh Casey, former star relief pitcher of the Brooklyn Dodgers, in a suit brought by Miss Hilda Weissman (above), "baseball crazy" salesgirl, who charges that the hurler who was dropped from the major league last year is the father of her son, born on November 2. Miss Weissman's attorney told the court that he had been trying for two weeks to reach Casey in his native Georgia, where he is now playing with the Atlanta Crackers, but said that the 36-year-old ballplayer ducked both telephone calls and registered letters. Casey's wife said he is on a fishing trip.
