Ross slaying witness can't identify assailants

Dana Superina, woman companion of E.C.A. Official Irving Ross when he was beaten to death on the night of Oct. 11 in the Soviet zone of Vienna, tells newsmen at a conference, Jan. 26, in U.S. Army Station Hospital, Vienna, that she no longer recalls the killers were Russian soldiers. Miss Superina, of Yugoslav descent, was severely beaten by three men at time Ross was slain. Austrian police reported that on the night of the attack Miss Superina identified the men as Russian soldiers. She was taken to a Vienna hospital under Russian supervision for treatment and about a month ago was released and admitted to the U.S. Army hospital.
