Immediately after a jury found Mrs. Rose Lucas guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of her highway patrolman husband, Joseph, her son William Lucas, 21, attacked Asst. D.A. Jack Berman in a flurry of fistic blows, requiring inspectors Milton Piro (L) and AL Nelder to subdue him (upper frame).
