Public Wharf Blocked by Ice -- The public wharf in downtown Cincinnati was jammed with ice and blocked all the way to the Kentucky shore late this morning when jam that broke at New Richmond, 0., 25 miles up-river, stopped flowing and piled up here. Left is a cement loading dock and in front of dock is packet steamer "Gordon C. Greene." Bridges shown are L.&N,. most distant from camera, and Central bridge, both leading to Newport. KY.
