The House Un-American Activities Committee continued its hearing on Peace Movements 12/12 and these are three of the witnesses to appear before the Group. Rose Clinton (L), a public stenographer identified as Secy. and Membership Chairman of the West Side Peace Committee in New York City, declined to tell the group whether she had ever been a member of the Communist Party. Mrs. Iris Freed, Larchmont, N.Y., (C) also resorted to the Fifth Amendment repeatedly. Anna Mackenzie, West Port, Conn., also testified before the Committee (R).
