Ronald Fenton, 28, Akron, who Det. Capt. Carroll Cutright said confessed the brutal sex slaying of 1-year-old Joanne Starcher last Wednesday. The child's body was found floating in a pond on the outskirts of the city. Fenton was the owner of a car seen stuck in the mud near the scene. Police were searching for the car when Fenton walked into headquarters today.
