Santa is a blind woman

Santa Claus became an 81-year old blind woman Wednesday delivering gifts to the Southern Michigan Prison in Jackson. Mrs. Rose Richards made the trip from Detroit to Jackson, Mich. for the tenth time this year to deliver crates of fruit and 50 wrapped packages for her "boys". Until last week she had only enough money to buy 30 of the 50 five dollar packages but a news- paper story helped provide the rest. Mrs. Richards is being hugged by an unidentified inmate, one of her "sons".
