Confessed ax-slayer Rodney Bacon, 22, is brought from his jail cell here 11/12 after giving police a signed statement admitting he had killed his roommate and a neighbor woman in his apartment 11/12. Detective Inspector Calvin Hawkinson said Bacon told authorities he killed Thomas Rogers, 21, and Dorothy Day, 23, when he found them sleeping in his bed for the second consecutive night. Bacon, Hawkinson said, didn't want to sleep on the davenport for a second night. Detective Robert Anderson and Detective Inspector Hawkinson (R) remove handcuffs from Bacon.
