Salt River on Rampage--The downtown area of Shepherdsville was flooded today by Salt River and 35 or more families were forced from their homes. Shepherdsville is about 20 miles south of Louisville and is among several towns in the area hit by a record one-day rainfall. The river was eight feet above flood stage and still rising at noon.
