Las Vegas fry cook Robert Kenneth Ervin, 20, confers with Attorney George Dickerson Friday while awaiting arraignment for the brutal abduction and murder of a 6-year-old girl July 5. Moments after this picture was taken St. Elmo Stafford, 45, the father of the girl, leaped on the handcuffed suspect and started pummeling him. It took four deputies to restrain Stafford, who was booked for assault and battery.
