Legros, Alphonse, 1837-1911 · [ca. 1854–1911]
The procession comes from outside and crosses the nave. The faithful kneel in the passage; at left, in the choir, groups of choir children and priests; one plays the organ, the other the cello. Lines have been drawn across the curtain to the left of the rope of the bell ringer. Added work on the pillar directly above. Other areas to the left of the plate have been richly printed adjusting the values to eliminate spottiness. The plate was printed on a toned paper with a warmer ink than the fifth state.
