Roton, of Fairfield, Ala., a Ku Klux Klansman, is shown 2/8 as he told the House Committee on Un-American Activities that he became an under-cover agent for an Alabama legislative committee set up to investigate Communist influences, following an interview he had with Gov. Wallace. Roton said that as far as he knew, Wallace "had no idea" that he was a member of the Klan.
