Mrs. Mabel K. Decker, 37-year-old beautician, is pictured at police headquarters tonight shortly before she was charged with shooting to kill former State Senator Howard L. Shearer, 61, right. Shearer, reported recovering from two bullet wounds in the hip, is chairman of the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology. He told police Mrs. Decker's license had not been renewed because she failed to comply with the law. The shooting took place in a hallway outside Decker's own beauty parlor in downtown Cincinnati. Shearer is pictured in a hospital gown after the shooting.
