Pretty Tough--The Frank Rogers family of Morrill, Neb., has been hit hard by polio this year. Seven of their children are hospitalized with the disease. One other, Robert, 11, died of polio Wednesday. Sister Mary Joseph and Mrs. Joan Cowan, physical therapist at St. Mary Hospital in Scottsbluff watch 20-month-old Helen Rogers take her bottle. Helen, at present, is the most ill of the Rogers' children. In the lower picture, James Rogers, 7, smiled broadly for a photographer. None of the children knows Robert has died.
