This lot with a house 42 by 20 was given by the settlers in 1686 to Reve. John Williams, the first settled minister. Family captured and house burned by De Rouville 1704. Present house built in 1707 for the redeemed captive. Here he died 1729. Erected by the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association, July 31, 1901.
