Richard Ballingall, 34-year-old former grave digger, lights up a cigar while being questioned in the two-year-old rape slaying of JoAnn Gillespie, 18-year-old junior college co-ed. He admitted the slaying, Inspector Edward Reilly, of the Homicide Division, said tonight. JoAnn was found mutilated and slain Jan. 2, 1953, in an alley behind her home.
