Questioned at inquest of slain ex-Wave

Coroner A.L. Brodie (left) listens as John Dedrick (center), assistant manager at the Pine Crest Hotel where ex-Wave Frances Brown, 33-year-old stenographer, was stabbed, bludgeoned and shot to death, tells of seeing a "nervous-looking man come out of the automatic elevator" as about the time of the killing. Miss Brown's body was found sprawled over the rim of her bathtub over which the killer left a note printed with lipstick pleading that he be apprehended before he "killed more."
