Robert McClatchey, above, 24-year-old unemployed truck driver admitted, police said, that he strangled a young woman companion in a near Northside hotel after failing twice in the last three weeks to kill her. Sgt. William Clark said McClatchey, seized by police near the hotel, told officers he was on his way to surrender.
