Driving an Italian Alfa-Romeo car, the Russian driver Ivanowsky after an exciting duel won the Eireann Gold Cup, in the Irish Grand Prix at Phoenix Park, Dublin, by fourteen seconds from Glen Kidston, driver of a Bentley Entry. Ivanowsky’s time was three hours 40 mins 54 secs. With an average speed of 76-4 miles an Hour. The third position was taken by H. R.N. Birkin, in another Bentley entry.
