Chesterfield Inlet NWT....Peggy Keenan, mine owner and member of the American Polar Basin Expedition who hopes to be the first woman to reach the North Pole, is shown pouring tea in a cosy igloo in Chesterfield, NWT, for an Eskimo mother, whose child is strapped to her back. Outside the igloo it was a teeth-chattering 45 below zero. Ten members of the expedition spent two weeks in Chesterfield testing gear and clothing in preparation for the expedition they will make to the north pole in March.
