Three-quarter view to the right; thick hair with curls, rolled on the forehead; growing moustaches, light curled beard. Burr has been removed from the side of the face, especially in frame of the ear. Additional work on the beard, and on the neck, below the chin. There is additional work on the coat and the collar, including the suggestion of a second button.
